Michael Kaiser: blue rose emperor, naked emperor, "zero"
Blue Rose: A Michael Kaiser Zine is an SFW zine exploring the life of Michael Kaiser from Blue Lock. As such, all content will be focused on this character, in the canon setting of Blue Lock, and his speculative future. We are aiming for a physical zine with physical merch.
This zine will be divided into different sections based on the different stages of his life and will explore his journey throughout the Blue Lock manga.
Childhood: This will be the first section of our zine and shall focus on Kaiser's childhood.
Youth: This section will focus on the moment he met football and his BM Youth years.
NEL: This section will be set in Blue Lock, during the Neo-Egoist League.
Post-NEL: This section will be focused on his speculative future, from as close as the U20 World Cup, up to the World Cup.
We hope to feature everything from his bleak childhood, his various awakenings, his malice, his victories and defeats, to his sparse human connections.
Previous zine experience and follower count are not factors for acceptance. All applicants will be judged based on the samples and portfolios submitted in the application form.

What is a zine?
A zine (or fan zine) is a fan-made anthology in the form of a booklet or magazine, filled with artwork and writing, usually centered around a specific theme and catering to a particular fandom.
What is the theme of this zine?
The theme is "the life of Michael Kaiser". We aim to explore his journey throughout the Blue Lock manga.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
Both physical as well as digital formats of the zine will be available for pre-orders.
Can minors participate in this zine?
Contributors must be 18+ years old by the time of application.
Where will the profits go?
This zine is for-profit. Any extra profits will go towards compensating our contributors with free copies of the zine and bundle.
Can I apply for the zine?
Yes! Contributor applications will run from Dec 5 to Jan 9 and we would love to see you apply! We are looking for writers, page artists, & merch artists.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes! You can apply for more than one role, but you will only be accepted for one role.
What are the application guidelines?
Artists: 3 samples in colour with background (1 must be Blue Lock)
Merch Artists: 3 samples of merch artwork or product photos in colour (1 must be Blue Lock)
Writers: 3 samples between 1.5K and 2.5K words long each (1 must be a complete standalone piece, others may be excerpts; 1 must be Blue Lock)
Can I apply as multiple types of contributors?
You can apply for more than one role and may be accepted to create multiple pieces.
Does having past Kaiser art/ fic/ pieces help with getting in?
Although it is not mandatory to have Kaiser pieces to apply, they are definitely desired.
Will you ship worldwide?
Yes!
What language will the zine be in?
The zine will be in English.
Will contributors receive a free copy?
All contributors will be given a free e-copy of the book. If sales permit, they will also be provided with the physical bundle.
